Hi, I'm Ümit Demirtaş 👋

I've spent the last decade deep in infrastructure — from the early days of virtualization to today's AI-driven, cloud-native platforms.

My path started in software: building mobile forensics tools, parsing corrupted SQLite databases, recovering data byte by byte. That low-level engineering discipline never left me. It shaped how I approach infrastructure today — as software, to be designed, versioned, and automated.

I lead a Cloud Native Engineering team at an enterprise technology company, and my hands stay on the bench: designing event-driven microservice architectures, building multi-tenant SaaS backends, and writing the automation frameworks behind multi-cloud strategies. Along the way I've delivered projects for 25+ enterprises across Europe, the Gulf, and Türkiye — including a global insurance leader, one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds, and major government institutions.

My philosophy is simple: automate everything that can be automated, share what you know, simplify the rest.
